Spread the Spirit of Love is a non-profit organization that raises money for charities working with the poor children all over the world. Three campaigns are held a year, each for 3 months and this is the first one held in the United States. The children who so desperately need our help, if you would contact www.spiritoflove.info and let them know if you have the time or the resources to become a volunteer. As a volunteer you would be responsible for contacting people that can donate to this blessed cause. Our children are our future, so please ask the Spirit to lead you in the way you should go. This is basically how it works: a team leader is selected for a state. Each gets 200 volunteers to be help them. Each of those volunteers donates $20 and gets a start-up kit and a t-shirt. Those volunteers then go out into the community and solicit funds from those who love children. Most charities ask for a lot of money, from $50 and up. We don't. We ask each person that we contact to donate $20. That is it. If they want to give more, then of course they will take it, with much thanks, and use it to help even more children, but $20 is the maximum that they ask for.
A project like this brings us face to face with what and who we love. The Bible says that "love of money is the root of all kinds of evil" but money in itself is not evil. In fact, Jesus himself said that whatsoever we do to the least of these, we have done unto him. Wouldn't you like that to be said about you when you recieve your reward? I know I will have it said of me- what a freedom that gives us to walk in that freedom.
